Type of Work
Multinational publicly listed oilfield services company

Situation
A US-headquartered global oilfield services group required a strengthened compliance framework to meet evolving local and international regulatory standards. Pre-qualification for major tenders demanded demonstrable alignment with anti-corruption and modern-slavery requirements, as well as the capability to investigate and remediate integrity issues across global operations.

Key Activities
Anti-corruption framework development: Designed a comprehensive compliance package—including anti-corruption policies, code of conduct, whistleblower protocol, and due-diligence procedures—supported by an operational manual enabling internal client personnel to meet FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and relevant local law requirements.

Compliance capability uplift: Established the foundation for a “Global Ethics Ambassador / Compliance Champion” model to train and empower local staff as in-market compliance representatives.

Modern slavery / forced labour program: Created a holistic modern slavery framework, set up an internal review panel, and worked with supply-chain teams to implement supplier due-diligence, monitoring, and review processes.

Independent investigations: Participated in investigations of potential breaches involving corruption, fraud, theft, self-dealing, harassment, workplace safety, and other misconduct.

Outcome
The work enabled the client to satisfy key compliance requirements across all material jurisdictions, strengthen governance culture, and enhance its credibility and competitiveness in tender processes through demonstrably robust internal controls.
